Contigo Baja was founded by husband-and-wife team Karina Christensen and Ron Sprengeler with a shared vision: to create boutique homes that feel deeply connected to their surroundings. Drawn to Baja not just for its beauty, but for its rhythm of life, Karina and Ron believe that great design should enhance the land, not compete with it.
Their work is guided by intention—blending thoughtful architecture, restrained luxury, and a deep respect for the natural environment. Each project is conceived as a place to truly live, where design feels grounded, the landscape is honored, and homes are created to endure—both in spirit and in time.

Contigo Cerritos™ is a reflection of our deep respect for the natural beauty of Baja and our belief in the transformative power of living well within a thoughtfully curated community. Set in a remarkable coastal landscape, the project is designed to feel both expansive and intimate—where open space, privacy, and connection coexist with ease.
Here, luxury is expressed through balance. Homes are carefully integrated into the land, allowing nature to remain present and uninterrupted, while the community itself is shaped to foster a sense of belonging without sacrificing independence. Community-Builder
Karina Christensen brings more than two decades of experience to Contigo Cerritos™, shaped by a career rooted in design, development, and relationship-driven real estate. Her work spans residential development, luxury sales, and long-term brand building, including ownership roles within Keller Williams Realty franchises and leadership of an exclusive residential team serving high-end clients from Denver and Aspen to Baja California Sur.
With formal training from the Parsons School of Design, Karina’s foundation in design deeply informs her approach to space, flow, and livability. Earlier in her career, she designed and managed private jet interiors—an experience that led her to work closely with Oprah Winfrey as part of her personal flight team, where precision, discretion, and thoughtful detail were paramount.
Today, Karina’s focus is on creating places that feel intentional, grounded, and enduring—communities where design enhances daily life and connection comes naturally. At Contigo Cerritos™, her role as a community-builder is less about scale and more about care: building places that belong to their setting and to the people who choose to live there.

Project Management & Construction Oversight
Ron Sprengeler brings more than three decades of experience overseeing complex construction, safety, and operations projects at the highest level. His background includes managing large-scale initiatives for a Fortune 25 oil and gas company—work that demanded precision, accountability, and a deep respect for process.
At Contigo Cerritos™, Ron serves as the steady hand behind the scenes, guiding development and construction with care, discipline, and an uncompromising attention to detail. His approach is grounded and methodical, ensuring that every phase of the project is executed thoughtfully, responsibly, and to exacting standards.
Ron’s role is not just about building structures, but about stewarding quality—from the integrity of the build to the long-term experience of those who will live there. His commitment to craftsmanship and safety helps ensure that Contigo Cerritos™ is not only beautifully designed, but enduringly well built.

SANZPONT is an award-winning international architecture firm with offices in Barcelona, México and Chicago. Our main interest is creativity, design and the constant search for innovation. We strive to create connections between people and spaces, always prioritizing sustainability and the environmental environment. Having offices in three countries, Spain, Mexico and the United States, has allowed us to create an important network of professionals and companies that work with us to ensure the successful completion of our designs around the world.

Known for their design contributions to hospitality projects for some of the most ICONIC names in the world of leisure travel, INNOVATE DESIGN STUDIO looks to create environments that transcend the mere thought of the everyday. The team at INNOVATE DESIGN STUDIO specializes in the master planning and design of destination resorts, residential estates, urban environments, and livable communities. Their philosophy is steadfast: To seamlessly unite client needs, project goals, and site characteristics into the finest, award-winning projects. Their purpose is to turn a client’s visions into thriving, creative places. Their aim is to create luxurious and sustainable environments in which people can both comfortably live and spend their leisure time.

Interior Design
OCHO+CO specializes in Designing and Crafting custom furniture & accessories tailored to both the luxury home and hotel markets in both Mexico and the United States. Their portfolio includes projects with prestigious names such as Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, One&Only Palmilla, Chileno Bay, as well as numerous luxury custom homes, both in Mexico and abroad.
OCHO+CO will be at the helm for all Interior Design collections for the Resort, Villas, and Casitas throughout Contigo Cerritos. Their extensive global travels throughout Mexico, Latin America, Europe, and Asia have enabled them to bring together a team of 100+ artisans and craftsmen, dedicated to designing and constructing some of the most incredible furniture and spaces, custom-made for their clients and ours.

With a collective 30 years of design industry experience, Lenore and her team bring a great depth of knowledge to each engagement. Lenore comes from a long line of artisans and entrepreneurs, and strikes a balance between creativity and business by designing custom and individual solutions to exceed expectations, not budgets. Her history of living and working internationally has developed her unique mindset and comprehensive sense of style. Leveraging her extensive background in real estate development, Lenore has built a reputation of achieving highly individualized results while keeping client’s personal preferences and business objectives front and center. LCID’s work has been featured in numerous publications such as Influential Magazine, Austin Home Magazine and Austin American Statesman.
